We’ll gather in the gallery to browse the exhibition and hear from the artist about her discovery and fascination with trail trees across the Everglades. Afterward, we’ll take a short guided walk to visit one of these remarkable trees in person. Nestled within 13 acres of Big Cypress National Preserve, this event offers a rare chance to explore both art and landscape together. We’ll meet at The Betsy Hotel and take a leisurely, art-filled stroll as Beatriz shares how walking became both her meditation and artistic practice. The route winds along the boardwalk, through Lincoln Road and Española Way, and concludes at the legendary Mac’s Club Deuce, where a few zines will find their resting spot by the pool table. Walking clears the mind, lifts the spirit, and invites moments of encounter with nature — from bright green monk parakeets to sunbathing anoles, gliding anhingas, and gentle manatees along the way.
