Zine Release + Screening “Querido Pequeño Haiti”
by Diana Larrea
Join us for a celebration of Little Haiti with the release of Querido Pequeño Haiti (Dear Little Haiti)—a stunning new zine by Oolite artist Diana Larrea. Part of EXILE’s Zine Machine series, this bold, newspaper-style publication spotlights local artists and is distributed via vintage vending machines across Miami.Zine Release + Screening “Querido Pequeño Haiti”
by Diana LarreaInspired by Diana’s experimental short documentary—described as “a love letter to a place that will forever be home… a visual ode and farewell to a neighborhood rapidly changing”—the zine brings intimate community stories to life on the printed page.
The evening begins with a screening of short films honoring Haitian and Peruvian heritage, followed by Diana’s film and the official zine launch. The night concludes with a moderated discussion and Q&A featuring EXILE founder and Oolite alum Amanda Keeley—an uplifting celebration of storytelling, cultural exchange, and community dialogue.
