ESPRESSO EDITIONS #6
This month we are excited to welcome Jessica Faroy, Publishing Director at Tra Publishing, as our guest speaker. Known for its thoughtfully designed books, Tra Publishing bridges art, design and storytelling to create works that inspire and inform. Jessica will share insights into the publishing industry and the creative process behind Tra’s distinctive publications. Join us on Sunday, March 30 from 3–4 PM for the next installment of Espresso Editions!
Moderated by Amanda Keeley, founder of EXILE Books, Espresso Editions invites artists, designers, and curators to explore their inspirations, creative journeys, and the power of books in a shifting cultural landscape.
Espresso Editions is generously supported by the City of Coral Gables and celebrates the vibrant voices and processes behind the independent publishing movement in South Florida.
About:
Jessica Faroy is a writer and editor with interests in food, culture, and literature. She has worked with independent publishers in Miami, specializing in cookbooks, art books, and children’s literature. As the Publishing Director at Tra, she oversees publicity, sales, and acquisitions. Originally from Havana, she now lives in Miami.
Tra Publishing creates beautifully crafted books that celebrate art in all its forms, as well as its creators. Founded in 2016 in Miami, the impetus for Tra was to produce beautiful, substantial, and special books that readers experience physically. Particular emphasis is placed on the physical components of the bookmaking process, resulting in books that are works of art and modes of expression in and of themselves.
