Recharge and Destress with Beatriz Monteavaro's South Beach Walking Guide

by Beatriz Monteavaro

Taking a walk is wonderful for your health, both physically and mentally. It helps to reduce stress, clears the mind. It helps with digestion and it burns calories. People walk all over the world, and Miami Beach is an especially scenic and fun place to do it.

This South Beach walking guide shares destinations where one can encounter local wildlife including Monk parakeets, Mitred parakeets, Anhingas, Crows, Eurasian Collared Doves, Pigeons, Green Herons, Green Iguanas, African Red Headed Agamas, Curly Tailed Lizards, the Green and Brown Anole, Moray Eels, Manatees, Nurse Sharks, Jellyfish, Caribbean Octopuses, Dolphins, Spotted Eagle Rays, Caribbean Lobster, Many kinds of Crab and fish, Squirrels, Opossums, Dogs, and Cats.

Public Bathrooms that do not require codes or purchases are listed with a stylized toilet symbol. Times of their availability will vary. The Bat Vehicles are indicative of our own individual ability to love our neighbors and do what
we know is right.

The Geodesic Dome symbol designates a Power Center location, which can help restore your feelings of well being and optimism.
