Cradle of Mangroves
by Nicole SalcedoTracing flexed roots, their mud holding wombs.
Summon sunlight through the leaves at high tide.
Moonlit pneumatophores at low tide.
Our bodies entangled in timelines.
This poem is meant to be read as an oracle or instruction. These messages and imagery were envisioned from time spent communing with red mangroves in Key Biscayne.
